I'm a total newbie regarding iOS development, but I want to change that now that I have a macOS work laptop that I can use to tinker with. I picked iOS 17 Development Essential Training because it was a) highly rated at LinkedIn Learning and b) about fundamentals, and I feel I made the right choice.
Across 1h and 40 minutes, you'll learn a portion of XCode basics (the IDE), Swift storyboards, SwiftUI, variable and component bindings, and a few basic components. The explanations are superb, the examples simple but illustrative, and for such a small course I think I came out with a good foundation to begin with the visual part. What I missed, and it's true that the course is not geared towards to, is more Swift syntax; The explanations of the code used in the samples are excellent, but I definitely need to learn more on that topic.
As a side-note, coming from a past.NET background, it was also funny to see the drag & drop of elements being very similar to working with WinForms/WPF C# in Visual Studio. There were certain differences, but decades later, the same ideas and similar UX patterns still apply.
